After building Val Genné as my own accessories brand, I decided to focus on the part of the process I enjoy most: designing handbags and small leather goods, developing products, sourcing materials, and following production through to final execution.
Today, I work with other brands on product design, development, sourcing, and production support.

I’m VAL, an industrial designer.
Building my own accessories brand gave me hands-on experience across the full product cycle — from concept and design to materials, hardware, fittings, sampling, production, content, and go-to-market.
That experience now shapes the way I work with other brands.
I combine a design perspective with technical understanding and close attention to how a product is actually developed and produced.
My role can start with an idea, an existing concept, or a specific product the brand wants to develop.
From there, I can support the process through design, development, materials, sampling, suppliers, and production follow-up.
